WINTER 2026/27 · PART-TIME · APPROX. 14 HOURS PER WEEK (SAT & SUN)
B-Corp certified · Award-winning · Independent & founder-led
Two days of proper work. Five days on the mountain.
AliKats Mountain Holidays is a B-Corp certified luxury chalet company in Morzine. We’re looking for weekend housekeepers to prepare our self-catered chalets to an exceptional standard every Saturday and Sunday of the winter season, so that guests walk in and feel cared for before they’ve even unpacked.
Then the rest of your week is your own.
WHO THIS ROLE SUITS
This role isn’t designed for someone who needs a full-time wage. It works best for two kinds of people:
— You’ve saved for a season. You want to live in the Alps, be part of a team and keep your costs down, while keeping most of the week free to ski.
— You’re combining it with other work. You might work remotely, freelance or have another part-time job, and you want a fixed, predictable weekend commitment with clear weekdays.
Either way, you get a season in resort, a team to belong to and a structure to your week, without giving up the reason you came.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
— Full weekend changeovers in our self-catered chalets: stripping and re-making beds, and sorting laundry for collection
— Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas to a luxury standard
— Cleaning and organising ski and boot rooms, and keeping entrances free of snow-melt and grit
— Restocking welcome supplies and organising store cupboards
— Working to a tight turnaround between departing and arriving guests, without cutting corners
REQUIREMENTS
— Recent cleaning or housekeeping experience (references required)
— Good spoken English (B2 or above), since most of our guests are British
— Right to work in France: an EU passport or a valid titre de séjour that permits work. This applies to remote workers too.
— Reliable, thorough and comfortable working at pace without close supervision
— Available every Saturday and Sunday for the full season (Early December 2026 until late April 2027)
WHAT GREAT LOOKS LIKE HERE
There’s no one watching over your shoulder on a changeover. The people who do this well are the ones who hold their own standard even when no one’s checking.
— An excellent cleaning standard
— Fast without ever being sloppy
— Takes pride in work most guests will never think twice about, precisely because it was done right
— As thorough on the last changeover of the season as on the first
THE HONEST PART
Changeover days are hard graft. You’ll be on your feet, moving quickly, and the standard doesn’t drop because the clock is against you. It’s physical work, and it’s the same two days, every week, for the whole season.
What you get in return is the rest of the week, genuinely free.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Pay
Paid hourly at SMIC (French minimum wage) for hours worked, approximately €580 net per month
Schedule
Saturday and Sunday, approximately 14 hours per week
Contract
French seasonal contract (CDD saisonnier)
Training
Paid training and full management support throughout the season
Accommodation (optional)
Not included as standard. If you’d like to live in, we can offer a bed in a shared room at Chalet de l’Ange, our staff chalet in Montriond, under a separate accommodation agreement. Taking a room is entirely your choice and has no bearing on your application.
Put simply, your weekend wages will cover most of a season’s rent in one of the best ski areas in Europe, and the rest of the week is yours.

WHY ALIKATS
We’re not the biggest chalet company in the Alps. That’s deliberate.
AliKats was founded by Al and Kat Judge, who left banking and publishing to build something they actually believed in. Fifteen years, sixteen chalets and a few awards later (The Times, The Telegraph, Global Good Awards), the thing that still sets us apart is the same thing it always was: genuine people, looking after guests properly, in a place we all love.
A well-run changeover is easy to overlook and hard to pull off. We notice, and we know it.
We won’t micromanage you. We will support you, trust you and, if you’re good, want you back.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send your CV and a short, personalised note on why this role suits you. Tell us about a time your attention to detail made the difference, and how you plan to spend the other five days.
